Mihir Gupta M.D.
Dr. Mihir Gupta (2020) spent a year in CERES woking with Dr. Ganesh Shankar and the ceres team to develop a novel CSF based assay for CNS lymphoma. This work provides a novel pathway to develop rapid diagnostics for CNS lymphoma. The work was published in Blood in 2021. Dr. Gupta returned from the CERES group to complete this neurosurgical residency at the University of California, San Diego.
Keiko Kang M.D.
Dr. Keiko Kang (2020) spent a year in CERES woking with Dr. Pamela Jones and Dr. Leonora Balaj and the CERES team to develop liquid biopsy assays for CNS tumors. Dr. Kang made important contributions to the development of BRAF and TERT promoter plasma assays. Dr. Kang returned to medical school at UC San Diego where she matched in 2021 to neurosurgical residency at the University of Southern California.
Julia Small M.D. Candidate
Julia Small (2017-2020) served as a clinical research coordinator for CERES prior to matriculating to medical school at the University of Massachusetts. Known for her ability to connect with patients, Julia supervised the implementation of the CERES biobank, collecting hundreds of patient samples for advancing liquid biopsy research. Caroline Ayinon M.D. Candidate
Caroline Ayinon (2017-2019) served as a clinical research coordinator for CERES prior to matriculating to medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. Caroline was key in implementing clinical research protocols in the Department of Neurosurgery.
